MatArchiXP-2025: Experimental Approach to Architected Materials

The ARCHI-META Research Network and the Île-de-France Mechanics Federation are organizing a joint day on the theme Experimental Approaches to Architected Materials, which will take place on November 17, 2025, at ENS Paris-Saclay.

Abstract

This thematic day will be dedicated to architected materials that enable unprecedented performance for a wide range of applications. Its aim is to bring together different communities (solid mechanics, vibro-acoustics, ultrasonics, etc.) to compare their respective experimental approaches for measuring the mechanical and dynamic properties (stiffness, damping, absorption, fatigue limit) of architected materials. The emphasis will therefore be placed on assessing mechanical strength and dynamic and vibro-acoustic performance, as well as on manufacturing processes, with a view to developing design and sizing criteria.
